The adoption of this viewpoint as part of Seventh-day Adventist thought was mixed with the church’s characteristic health message as a means to court the state and to gain favor with it. “While continuing the traditional emphasis on healthful living, Adventist publications soon adopted elements of the Nazi racial agenda. . . .
